Eigentlich wollte ich ja nur den aktuellen Band von Preston/Child lesen. Der Backcover-Text klang gut. Dann stellte ich fest, dass es sich ein Buch in einer Reihe handelt. Also habe ich kurzerhand die gesamte Reihe gekauft. Dank diverser Gutscheine bin ich mit unter 5 Euro davon gekommen.

Band 1 in der Pendergast-Reihe, der sicher nicht als Band 1 einer Pendergast-Reihe konzipiert war, Relic, wurde auch verfilmt. Wie mir schon nach einigen Seiten auffiel, da ich den Film seiner Zeit auch gesehen hatte. Und wie so oft ist das Buch deutlich besser als der Film… Spannend geschrieben, zumindest die Hauptfiguren anständig entwickelt, ein echter Page-Turner.
